BHAS Allotment Open Day
This is your chance to wander around the allotments to get ideas for your own plot or garden. It’s also a great opportunity to socialise with the allotment community.
You will also be able to pick up a plant or two from our plant stall and talk to allotment holders about their plots and maybe get some tips on growing that giant pumpkin you’ve always dreamt of…
It’s a great family afternoon, we will also be selling afternoon teas too so do come hungry!
What’s happening on the day?
We will be serving delicious afternoon tea including sandwiches, cakes, tea, soft drinks, Prosecco and other alcoholic drinks.
Tool sharpening service
We are pleased to announce that at the Open Day this year Adam Bennett will be offering his tool sharpening services at a discounted rate (for plot holders and members of the general public). Bring your gardening tools, kitchen scissors and lawnmowers to get them in tip top condition for the new growing season. For a full price list click on this link.
Please drop off your tools after 10am and collect once the Open Day starts at 2pm.
The Children’s Allotment Art Shed

We are also excited to welcome local societies to the open day where you will be able to find out more about what they do including the Twickenham and Thames Valley Beekeeper’s Association and The Friends of Barnes Common.
We will have a selection of garden plants, vegetables and herbs available for sale.
