Sunday, 13 May 2018 was the Allotment Open Day

The sun shone on the Open Day for allotment holders and visitors. As usual the ever-popular plant stall and food and drink stalls had people queuing up, children hunted out the sights to be seen in I-Spy Bingo and there were prizes to be won in the raffle. Also, when Waitrose were asked  to donate to the raffle, they offered to give the Allotment Society a slot in their ‘Community Matters’ scheme for June. Each month 3 local organisations share £1,000 which is divvied up according to their share of the votes (the  green tokens collected from the checkout) , so remember next month to pick up your token and put it in the East Sheen Allotments box!
